Ciclope, 2011, Oscar Muñoz

“Cíclope” depicts the motion of a hand placing images in a bowl filled with swirling water, in which they begin to dissolve. The images are gradually erased, until the swirl of water becomes just a big black disc: the eye of the cyclops. At the heart of this video are concepts that are dear to Oscar Muñoz: memory, forgetting, and the ephemeral character of memories and of life itself.
